The Malamute breed started in the United States of America. Alaskan Malamutes like to be in a cold climate because, they have two coats, a plush under coat and a thick outer-coat. But, they are able to live in hot places because, they are able to shed their winter coat in the spring. If they do live in a hot climate, they will need lots of water and shade.They can be called mally or mal. They have a gray, sable, black, or red, always with white, as well as all white.
